This is one kick ass movie! This is by the same director that gave us Training Day. This movie offers the same dark gritty feel to it and is also about cops. I thought Training Day was okay throughout just that it lacked the punch at the end to make it really memorable. Where Training Day fails Street King delivers abundantly! A bit about the plot, Tom is cop that has to face off with his own people when they frame him for murder. One man against the system in a flurry of bullets flying all around the screen style! Keanu's portrayal of Tom is gritty and believable. The action here is good and bloody and can hold it's own against any of John Woo's classics.
The plot starts out a bit slowly but heats up and doesn't let up right until the final fight scene. You could almost taste the intensity on the screen!
This has got to be one of the better action movie I have had the pleasure of watching this year. Good effort!
